Field Operations Bureau

The primary responsibility of the Field Operations Bureau of the Sheriff’s Office is to provide 24 hour a day uniformed deputy response. Deputies respond to calls for service in both emergency and non-emergency situations.

Aside from responding to dispatched calls deputies are responsible for patrolling neighborhoods in their districts. They work on projects to improve neighborhoods, conduct traffic enforcement, and follow-up on cases that they have written or have been assigned. We encourage our deputies to work with our citizens to understand neighborhood problem and to cooperatively identify possible solutions.

The Field Operations Bureau is also responsible for:

  • SWAT Team
  • Dive Rescue Team
  • Civil Disorder Response Team
  • Marine Services
  • K-9 Units
  • Search & Rescue Operations
